How to book a delivery

Registering

You need to register with us before you can book a delivery.
Go to our Register page to sign up.

Once registered, you book a delivery by emailing thesterlinggirls@yahoo.co.uk 

How to order groceries

Decide what you want to order and where you're going to buy from. Our customers regularly buy from Asda, Waitrose, Tesco and Ocado. Ask our advice if you're not sure. (Remember, we don't accept orders from Sainsbury's)

Decide which of our drop points you want to collect the goods from. You can see a list of these, with full details, on the Drop-point locations - France page.

Decide how many delivery 'slots' you will need. Our vans are divided up into the maximum number of 'slots' they can carry and each slot has a maximum grocery order value of £200. Of course, you can order as much grocery shopping as you like (from multiple suppliers, if you wish) but you must remember that the limit per slot is £200, so do make sure you book enough space. You can order chilled (not frozen) goods up to 10% of the total value of your order i.e.in a  £100 order, £10 worth can be chilled goods.

Book your slot with thesterlinggirls@yahoo.co.uk and you will be given a time and date for your shopping to arrive at our depot. Make sure you book enough slots in advance for your anticipated total grocery order. If the grocery delivered to us exceeds the maximum value for the number of slots you have booked, we reserve the right to exclude part or all of  your order from the delivery.

Go online to your chosen supermarket.  When registering, use your name, followed by your chosen drop point i.e. Mrs J Smith/Limoges. Use your email address and our depot address and telephone number.  See the panel "Our Depot Details" on the right.

Book your delivery with the supermarket according to the time and date you've booked with us. Do your shopping, complete your order and pay online, as normal.

Forward a copy of your on-line receipt to thesterlinggirls@yahoo.co.uk when you receive it. This confirms the booking and gives us the information we need to manage your delivery.

Your groceries are delivered to you at your booked collection point on the selected day.

We are not able to give you a time before the day of delivery, but can give you an estimated time once your items have crossed the Channel. Our site is updated from 7am on the day of delivery and regularly throughout the day, as deliveries progress. You can see the latest delivery time information on our Home page, the Delivery Schedulepage or via our Twitter feed http://twitter.com#sterlingroutes.

Payment is on delivery, see Our Charges page for how these are calculated. Please contact us immediately if you are delayed or are unable to make the delivery time.

How to order non-food items

Decide what you want to order and where you're going to buy from. Our customers regularly buy from Argos, B&Q, DFS, eBay, Homebase, Ikea, John Lewis, ScrewFix and many, many others. The choice is endless - and it's yours!

Decide which of our drop points you want to collect the goods from. You can see a list of these, with full details, on the Drop-point locations - France pages.

Contact us at thesterlinggirls@yahoo.co.uk for a quote for the delivery. We will email you back with a price. Please note that all quotes are valid for 30 days from the date given and are normally from our depot to the drop point.

Once you have accepted our quote, book your slot with thesterlinggirls@yahoo.co.uk and you will be given a time and date for your items to arrive at our depot.

Place an order with your chosen supplier ensuring it is marked with your name, c/o Sterling Shopping Ltd. Goods should be delivered to our depot address at the time and date you've booked with us.  See the panel "Our Depot Details" on the right.

Once you've completed your order, please send the details to thesterlinggirls@yahoo.co.uk. This confirms the booking and gives us the information we need to manage your delivery.

When your items arrive at our depot, you will be notified and given a proposed onward delivery date.
